Are All Those Transformations Really Necessary?

If you feel your company is lurching from one major transformation to another, you’re not alone. Business change initiatives—whether strategic, operational, cultural, or all of the above—seem to top every executive team’s agenda these days. Indeed, 95% of the organizations that Accenture surveyed in 2024 had undertaken more than two major reinventions in the previous two years; 61% had undertaken at least four. With all the macro forces reshaping business today, leaders have little choice but to launch corporate transformation efforts. Or do they?
